New year, new design trends. Pantone has defined 2020 as the year of Classic Blue. That’s right, Pantone’s Color of the Year is good old Classic Blue.
While I am still not ready to let go of the 2019 color, Living Coral, and was hoping 2020 would be the year of another fun and bright color, I can get on board with this timeless color.
Pantone explained their inspiration behind this pick best:
“A timeless and enduring blue hue, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue is elegant in its simplicity. Suggestive of the sky at dusk, the reassuring qualities of the thought-provoking PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue highlight our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.

While this is a very classic color that shows up in many homes, I hope you will enjoy some of the more “non-classic” inspiration photos I have selected that allow us to think outside of the box when designing with color.
