Wow, 2019 where did you go?
Usually this time of the year we all spend our time thinking about what goals or resolutions we want to put in place for next year, but before I start to do that, I want to take a moment to celebrate what happened in 2019.
There were a bunch of little wins; like getting a client on board with a small design risk or remembering which storage unit each piece of furniture is in. But one of the bigger things we did this year, the one I'm sure you guys noticed, is that we launched an online home décor shop this year!
To say this was a huge project, is an understatement. Throughout this process, I really learned something about myself, I HATE the whole packaging process. It's just not my calling in life. Don't worry, I made it fun with cute custom wrapping paper, stamps, stickers, and even some cute totes I have already noticed you guys sporting around town 💖
A lot of people asked me why having an online shop was one of my 2019 goals, and while I have a few reasons why it makes sense for me and the Ann Cox Design brand, the most simple reason is you, the person reading this article.
Over the past couple years, I have seen our online community grow in the most beautiful and empowering way. I wanted to find more ways for us to engage with those of you who send us DMs about that cute chair in our latest Instagram post or come up to me at brunch to tell me how much you are loving the latest Mood Board Monday. So I just went for it.
In building out the concepts for the shop, we knew we wanted to build a curated collection inspired by our favorite home design trends through carefully selected pieces, chosen with you in mind. This gave me the opportunity to put all creative briefs from my clients aside and think through a collection that feels like the Ann Cox Design brand. Since you are all so unique, we tried to curate a wide collection of items at different price points so everyone had the opportunity to bring a piece of Ann Cox Design into their home.
After a few iterations, the Ann Cox Design online shop was born and we launched our first fall collection on October 28, 2019! This collection was inspired by organic design elements that make a home feel warm and down to earth. We chose variations of textures, neutral tones, and modern patterns that help build structure to a design.
All of the items in the collection are a limited time run, so once the items are sold out they will unfortunately no longer be available. Don't freak out, because we have decided to make the shop a semi-annual edit, which means we will be back in early summer of 2020 with a whole new collection of fun home décor items!
